Fish Feel

fishfeel

I flyfished gold-medal rivers & streams throughout the Rocky Mountains when I was a carnivore, before my near-fatal car crash in 1993. I used barb-less hooks and fished catch-and-release most of the time. I tried to minimize the pain a fish feels when it gets hooked. Even then, fish fight to stay alive. That was the thrill of flyfishing.  After my crash, I went fishing with friends. I held a fish in my hands that I caught & it looked at me. It wanted to live, not die. It had a right to life just like me. I released it back to the water & never fished again. That’s when I went vegan.
